January 20, 2014 SPOA Board Meeting Notes
The meeting was called to order at approximately 6:50PM. All present except for Reese Hillard.
Officers: Following a general discussion Bill Hibbard was elected Association President with unanimous approval and it was agreed that all other members would continue to serve in their present capacity. Hence, the current Association Board of Directors and their terms are:
- Bill Hibbard, President- 2017
- Paul Longsdorf, Vice President- 2017
- Bill Sauter, Treasurer-2015
- Gary Pon, Secretary-2016
- Tom Dougan-2016
- Rich Danter, Ridge III Townhomes-2015
- Reese Hillard-2015
Dues Notices: Bill Sauter indicated that our Association is registered with the Secretary of State and that recent legislation (HB13-1276) requires that common interest communities comply with a policy regarding the collection of delinquent assessments from owners. Bill suggested the potential need for a board policy regarding the filing of liens against owners that are delinquent in paying of their annual assessment. Following discussion it was agreed that we include a statement in the annual dues notices to owners regarding our established practice as well as citing the language in the pertinent section of the association covenants, conditions and restrictions in order to comply with the new law.
Annual Assessment: Bill Sauter initiated a discussion regarding the current annual assessment of twenty five dollars ($25.00) along with the potential need for an increase. Following a general discussion it was agreed that we would keep the assessment at the current level for the upcoming year.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:25PM.
